Refresher Course

Notice for 2027 Sailing Season Registration: Please check back in early February 2027 where we will have an update posted with the exact date/time registration will open. We typically have registration available in mid-February and the Lessons usually resume in late April each year.

The Refresher Course lessons will resume in April 2027 and will only run until late June 2027. Note: "FJ Only Members" are not eligible to take this course as it is hosted on Flying Scots.

Want to brush up on your sailing sailing skills after a long winter or quite a few years off the water? Take DC Sail's Refresher Course! This course is offered Saturday mornings from 10 am - 1 pm.

The Refresher Course is designed to have an open curriculum allowing students to identify the sailing skills they wish to practice. The session is four students to one instructor on a Flying Scot.

Refresher Courses are held from the start of our sailing season through June and are posted below. 

Cost: $145.00 for Basic Members, or one complimentary lesson per year for Admiral, Lifetime and Super Members.

DC SAIL CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

• Requests for cancellation 30+ days from start date would receive a full refund.
• Requests for cancellation within 30 days to 14 days from the start date would receive a 75% refund.
• Requests for cancellations with less than 14 days prior to the start date would be non-refundable. *Consideration of extraordinary circumstances will be at the discretion of the Executive Director.
